Le développement de l’agroécologie est une alternative souhaitable à l’agriculture « conventionnelle » pour engager la transition de notre système alimentaire vers la durabilité. Mais est-elle rentable ? Oui, suivant cette étude qui passe au crible de la littérature scientifique et de la modélisation vingt-trois référentiels relevant de l’agroécologie. L’agriculture biologique apparaît en particulier comme la plus performante d’un point de vue économique et environnemental aujourd’hui.

The development of agroecology is a desirable alternative to "conventional" agriculture to initiate the transition of our food system towards sustainability. But is it profitable? Yes, according to this study, which sifts through the scientific literature and modeling twenty-three benchmarks relating to agroecology. Organic farming in particular appears to be the most efficient from an economic and environmental point of view today.
