The outdoor run as a protein source for organic broilers The strong dependence in the imports of source of proteins for the broiler feed lead to find alternatives. Furthermore, the access to an outdoor run is a regulatory obligation in organic poultry production. It was demonstrated that vegetables produced by the outdoor run were consumed and could represent a source of nutriments for the broilers. The objective of this study is to estimate the effect of a reduction of the protein rate in the feed on the growth performances and the use of outdoor run by broilers.
