Lors des 20 ans de la PAIS (Plateforme Agrobiologique d’Initiative Bio Bretagne à Suscinio, située sur le lycée agricole de Morlaix et gérée par IBB), une quarantaine d’acteurs ont été réunis pour trouver de nouveaux financements et projets et réfléchir aux orientations de la plateforme. Sur les 100 000 euros annuels alloués au fonctionnement de la PAIS, près de 70 % viennent de fonds publics et 30 % de fonds privés. Les difficultés financières de l’un des partenaires (l’Itab) ont des répercussions directes sur le fonctionnement et la pérennité de cette plateforme d’expérimentations légumières. Or, celle-ci est la seule station certifiée 100 % bio en Bretagne et près de 3 200 producteurs bretons sont à la recherche de techniques et de variétés adaptées à la bio. Parmi les nouvelles orientations envisagées, une des pistes proposées est la relocalisation de la production de semences afin de favoriser l’accès aux variétés à succès et aux variétés anciennes.

During the 20 years of PAIS (Agrobiological Platform of Bio Bretagne Initiative in Suscinio, located at the agricultural high school of Morlaix and managed by IBB), around forty actors were brought together to find new funding and projects and reflect on the orientations of the platform. Of the 100,000 euros per year allocated to the operation of the PAIS, nearly 70% come from public funds and 30% from private funds. The financial difficulties of one of the partners (the iTab) have a direct impact on the operation and sustainability of this vegetable experimentation platform. However, this is the only 100% organic certified station in Brittany and nearly 3,200 Breton producers are looking for techniques and varieties adapted to organic. Among the new directions being considered, one of the avenues proposed is the relocation of seed production in order to promote access to successful varieties and old varieties.
