Résumé anglais
The aim of this paper is to inquire a relationship between Hofstede’s dimension of national culture and the profit-orientation in organic farming through econometric analyses. It represents a way to compare companies of European area, underlining the differences among countries. The observed data are related to different elements such as the cultivated area, the number of organic producers and the selling volumes, in a long period coming from 2000 to 2017. Interesting results have been obtained, above all in the comparison among different national contexts, providing useful implications from the scientific, managerial and political points of view.
