Le Grab (Groupe de Recherche en Agriculture Biologique) a été créé en 1979 et est devenu la principale station d’expérimentation dédiée au maraîchage, à l’arboriculture et à la viticulture bio en France. Il regroupe 50 agriculteurs-expérimentateurs, 70 adhérents et possède deux sites d’essais. Son Assemblée Générale s’est tenue, le 16 avril 2020 (en visioconférence), sur le thème « S’immerger dans la recherche bio ». Elle a réuni 90 participants. Après 40 ans d’existence, l’heure était au bilan (de nombreux résultats de ces quarante années de recherche et d’essais sont publiés sur le site internet du Grab). Cependant, cette AG a aussi été l’occasion d’évoquer l’avenir. Un plan stratégique pour l’horizon 2030 a été réfléchi et co-construit durant sept mois. Le but est de multiplier les innovations tout en répondant aux besoins à court et à long termes des producteurs. Pour cela, les leviers identifiés sont nombreux. Tous convergent vers une recherche de productivité et de rentabilité, mais pour des systèmes de production à taille humaine, économes en intrants, diversifiés et qui rendent des services environnementaux.

The Grab (Organic Agriculture Research Group) was created in 1979 and has become the main experimental station dedicated to organic market gardening, arboriculture and viticulture in France. It brings together 50 farmer-experimenters, 70 members and has two trial sites. Its General Assembly was held on April 16, 2020 (by videoconference), on the theme "Immerse yourself in organic research". It brought together 90 participants. After 40 years of existence, the time had come to take stock (many results of these forty years of research and testing are published on the Grab website). However, this GA was also an opportunity to discuss the future. A strategic plan for the 2030 horizon was thought out and co-constructed over seven months. The aim is to multiply innovations while meeting the short and long term needs of producers. There are many levers identified for this. All converge towards a search for productivity and profitability, but for production systems on a human scale, economical in inputs, diversified and which provide environmental services.
