This case study reveals how fruit trees and willow coppice are helping to maximise potential on a mixed farm.
Already running an award-winning vegetable box business, Devonshire farmer Martyn Bragg needed some additional shelter for his 170-hectare mixed organic farm.
Keen to improve conditions in a way that made sense both environmentally and commercially, Martyn has incorporated rows of fruit trees among his vegetables.
