Résumé anglais
The experiment was conducted to study the effect of organic fertilizer and seaweed extract spray on the growth and yield of two cultivars of green beans in protected agriculture. The experiment included two factors: the first two cultivars of green beans (Top Harvest and Strike), the second factor: five organic fertilizer treatments (corn cobs waste, poultry waste, (corn cobs waste + seaweed extract, poultry waste + seaweed extract and seaweed extract only). The completely random block design, where the cultivars were placed in the main plots and fertilization treatments in the sub-plot. In top harvest cultivar, plant height, carbohydrate percentage in the pods increased to 4.5% and 38%, respectively, while the two cultivars did not differ significantly in the other traits. The seaweed extract spray resulted in higher plant height (35.4 cm), the relative chlorophyll content (40.22 SPAD) and the leaf area (4995 cm plant), carbohydrate (10.5%), number of pods per plant (44.5 2-1 pods), the percentage of protein (6.85). Fertilization treatment (corn cobs wastes) was excelled in a pod weight and poultry wastes treatment in the plant yield and the percentage of phosphorus. The interaction treatment between the Strike cultivar and fertilization with corn cobs + seaweed extract spraying achieved a significant increase in the number of pods (61.2 pods) and plant yield (217g plant). The interaction-1 treatment between Top Harvest and seaweed extract spraying gave the highest carbohydrate content. The interaction treatment between Strike and poultry waste achieved the highest the percentage nitrogen and the phosphorous in the pods.
